We can create custom footbeds which stabilizes the foot eliminating unwanted movement inside the boot.

Bootfitting allows us to be in the right sized boots to be able to control the skis but also to be comfortable all day with zero pressure points.
A boot that is too small while may in theory increase the control you have over the skis this is contradicted by the inability to weigh the ski with proper technique to the pain your feet will inevitably be in.
A boot too big will be much more comfortable to stand still in while in the shop, but once you are skiing or touring there will be movement inside of the boot. Movement causes rubbing, bruising, and blistering as well as a serious lack of control of your skis.
The properly sized boot should allow you to be in your boots all day and to be able to hold your foot secure enough while skiing and touring. While at the end of the day you still have the relief of taking them off.

Some common questions to help make your ski boots fit better.-
When you flex down into your boot (skiing position), your toes and heal slide further back, giving your toes more room. This is a standard way boot fitters will fit your boot.
If you stand up straight with your boots buckled, and your toes don’t touch the end, they could be too big, allowing for too much movement when skiing.
If your toes are curled up, tap your heel on the ground, bringing your heal to the back of the boot.
-
The most important buckles are around your ankle. Buckle up around your ankle first, this will move your foot into a better position.
Buckles around your toes do not need to be too tight, as it may cause your foot to be a little cramped.
-
Footbeds are needed for most people to get the best fit. You can get off the rack and custom beds.
Footbeds provide support (little or a lot), they help prevent common foot problems such as cramping or numb toes.
Custom footbeds help feet that need more help than an off the rack footbed can provide. Your foot scan will tell the boot fitter a lot about your feet and what will work best for you.
Getting your feet in the correct position in your boot will help your skiing overall.
-
There are certain things too look for to determine if your boots are too big or too small.
If they are too small, some techniques such as punching out problem areas, heating up and moulding them to your feet could be an option. Boot fitters can help determine the best course of action and what you need.
